Leisure At The Palace

The Palace Hotel is located in the heart of Manchester's extensive theatre and entertainment scene and right opposite the Palace Theatre. It is within easy walking distance of the Opera House, top nightclubs and Bridgewater Hall - home of the famous Halle Orchestra.

Manchester is also a shopper's paradise with its centre and surrounding areas boasting some of the country's most exclusive stores. There are many unique boutiques and hidden gems to be discovered as well as catering for virtually every high street taste. The Palace is near Manchester's main shopping streets: King Street and St Ann's Square, containing mainly designer shops such as Armani and Hugo Boss, whilst Market Street has mainly high street stores such as Marks & Spencer, Next and Topshop.

Manchester is a great destination for all the family. It is dynamic and interesting; fantastic for keeping the children constantly amused. There are many free museums which have interactive features and hands-on activities: Museum of Science and Industry, Imperial War Museum in the North, and Manchester Museum.

Manchester has a varied and dynamic nightlife with something to offer everyone. From modern cosmopolitan bars, to bohemian cafés and traditional pubs, you will be spoilt for choice. From live music to comedy and from musicals to film festivals, there is something for everyone. Manchester has produced some of the best musical stars including Oasis, The Bee Gee's and the Stone Roses and has seen the rise of famous comedians like Peter Kay. As well as being steeped in heritage, it is also buzzing with new talent making it the place to be and be seen.

Manchester may not be 'Madchester' any more, but there are plenty of clubs reminiscent of the old Hacienda days as well as underground hide outs for those clubbers wanting to dance 'til dawn. Many more new, trendy clubs are also springing up around the city to complement the vast bar culture which exists.
