History

Rich in history, dating back to 1890, the Palace Hotel was designed by the eminent Victorian architect Alfred Waterhouse, to produce some of his most ornately Gothic work, giving it elegance and symmetry. Works continued through his son Paul, who incorporated some spectacular features including the beautiful Cararra marble and bronze staircase and the soaring clock tower.

In more recent years The Palace, Manchester underwent a major £7 million refurbishment programme which has resulted in the brand new Tempus Bar, Restaurant and Lounge which have transformed the ground floor.
