By rail:
Edinburgh Waverley Station is a short taxi ride away, costing between £4 and £6. Alternatively, it is a short, five minute walk - please see the map for directions when exiting the station. Edinburgh Haymarket Station is approximately 10 minutes from the hotel and would cost £5-£10 by taxi. We recommend www.thetrainline.com to book your rail tickets.
By air:
Edinburgh International Airport is only seven miles from the George Hotel and approximately 25 minutes by taxi (cost should be under £20 - higher on Public Holidays). Alternatively, the Edinburgh Shuttle (a mini-bus service: www.edinburghshuttle.com) is available for £8 per person and will deliver you directly to the hotel in approximately 30 minutes. It is also possible to use the regular bus service (Airport Express X100: www.flybybus.com) for £3 Single or £5 Return; this takes approximately 30 minutes and stops at Waverley Bridge. By car:

Parking:
Once you arrive at the hotel, there are various parking options. It is free to park on the street between 18:30 and 08:30 every day of the week except Sunday when it is free all day - outside of this there is a maximum parking time of 3 hours at a cost of £1.80 per hour. Alternatively, the hotel can offer a 20% discount when using the NCP Omni Centre at Greenside Place, a short distance from the hotel - cost is approximately £18 for 24 hours. If choosing the latter option, we recommend that you drop your luggage at the hotel first and the concierge will be more than happy to help with simple directions to reach the NCP.
