Spring 2007 saw the completion of a major portion of the £20 million refurbishment programme, re-positioning The George Hotel as one of Edinburgh's landmark hotels. Today, seven individual conference and event suites offer classic period charm together with the most up-to-date technologies, and can be booked individually or together to host any kind of event, from a board meeting to a 300 delegate conference.
The stunning King's Hall with its unique 'Flight Light' chandelier forms the centre piece of the newly refurbished conference and banquetting rooms. Originally the Caledonian Insurance Trading Hall, dating from the nineteenth century, it maintains all its grandeur and opulence to offer a spectacular and flexible space designed to suit a wide variety of events.
