Elspeth Beattie Wins Hotel Industry’s
Young Marketer of the Year Award

Congratulations to our head of marketing, Elspeth Beattie who
has been named the hotel industry's ‘Young Marketer of the Year' in
the Hotel Marketing Association's 2010 annual Hotel Awards, held at
Simpsons-on-the Strand in London.
Although the awards have been running for 17 years, the ‘Young
Marketer of the Year' award was created five years ago to recognise
the cream of young marketing talent in the hotel industry.
Candidates entering had to demonstrate that they had made a
significant contribution to the success of their company and be
aged under 30.
Elspeth was praised by the judges for demonstrating strategic
input and leadership skills.
"Elspeth and established the brand within all areas of
marketing, culminating in winning ‘UK Meetings Market Survey Most
Improved Brand Award 2010 with BDRC Continental," said Andrea
McKay, chairman of the HMA
The Hotel Marketing Awards are the only dedicated recognition
scheme, which celebrate good practice in hotel marketing and are
judged by industry experts.
The HMA is the official industry group of the Chartered
Institute of Marketing and its members comprise sales and marketing
specialists and operators of both independent and chain
hotels.
